Peppercomm

Peppercomm, a strategic communications company, in the business of understanding their clients’ business came to Montroy Andersen DeMarco to design a space where they could connect with their customers. The resulting design plan creates a dynamic, fresh and progressive space allowing for a flexible layout.  Glass office fronts line the perimeter allowing for natural light to penetrate the interior of the space and blackened steel elements accent the work environment.  The buildings deep beams and low ceiling slab heights challenged the need to achieve the open and airy effect. As a result we chose to eliminate overhead ceiling mounted lights above the open plan and instead designed task lights at each workstation to provide direct and indirect lighting for the entire open area. Another design decision based on the ceiling heights required innovative sound reduction in the space. We used Decoustics ceiling panels in the large conference room, while in the private offices we incorporated an acoustical texture product, Sonospray, applied to the bottom of the ceiling slab to further mitigate ambient noise.
